The Big Ring Flyers is a Hudson, Wisc., based cycling club formed in 1987. The team supports riders in WiSport, ABR, USAC, WORS and the Minn. State Mountain Bike Series. We have riders from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois and have a very active group of racers among the membership and host a weekly ride in Hudson (and surrounding areas).

 The Flying Bobcats Cycling Team, based in the Madison Wisconsin area, is a casual yet competitive group of cyclist who enjoy riding and racing throughout Wisconsin. The team has several regular events, as well as training camps, group recreation rides and regular training rides each year. Team members compete regularly in WISPORT, USA cycling, WCA, WORS, and area triathlons.

Team Members represent all age groups and riders of all abilities are welcome. The Flying Bobcats encourage participation and development of riding skills to work towards making our team competitive all while having fun.

The Lead Butt Bicycle Racing Team was formed in 2002 by Dar Vollrath. The Lead Butt name was created to give the team more visibility and to reinforce the philosophy that the WISport Series was for citizen racer, welcoming folks who enjoy the sport of cycling.   Dar Vollrath was one of the driving forces behind developing WISport and the Lead Butt’s into a strong state wide membership. Dar Vollrath passed away  April 3rd, 2005, in Pesaro, Italy, while doing what he loved…riding a bike. 

The Lead Butts conduct four WiSport events; The Wisport Friendly Century & Clinic, Dar’s Midwest TT Championships, Greenwood Dairy Days RR, and the Get the Lead Out TT. The Mad City Velo Club is based in the Madison, Wisconsin, area for cyclists who enjoy racing, training, and commuting.  We participate primarily in the WiSport, WCA, and ABR series events.  Some of our members also do WORS events and triathlons.  We like to ride together, and have 2 club rides a week, typically, focusing on training, skills, and camaraderie.   We accommodate a large range of racers, from state champs to first timers.  We strive to be a welcoming point of entry into the world of bike racing, and a place where recreational racers are supported and encouraged throughout their sporting lives.

If the thought of joining a team is something you are not comfortable with, then you can join the biggest non-team in WiSport. Team WiSport is made up of all members of WiSport who do not wish to belong to any organized team. Ride for yourself and still get in on all of the fun. Team Wisport members have just as much fun at races as teams with out all the team costs. Wear your favorite gear and ride and race with all the big teams.
